The control bar's purpose is to make sure the 12-inch designer gets off to a wrinkle-free start. You can help by cleaning it every time you load a new roll in the applicator.

Step 1
Make sure the cutting blades are retracted. Pull the 12-inch designer away from the control bar.

Step 2
Wipe down the control bar with an applicator wipe (if you run out, rubbing alcohol and cotton balls will work). Allow to dry for a few seconds.

Step 3
Place the designer back on the control bar.
